Shipping:

We ship to UK Mainland for £3.50 (inc. vat) per order and you can expect your order within 5 working days (often within 2 working days). Orders are dispatched by 1st class Royal Mail, Interlink Express or Fedex courier services. This will be decided, at our discretion, on weight, volume or value of goods ordered.

 

You can choose to have your order shipped to an alternative delivery address however we may request additional information before goods are dispatched. This may delay your order due to the additional security checks required.

We are part of Cable Universe Ltd and operate from the same warehouse based in South Devon. Your order will be processed by the same team of people who have successfully run Cable Universe for over 9 years. Your goods will be handled and dispatched with same care and attention offered to all of our orders received

Invoices:

A full VAT invoice will be enclosed with all orders i.e. it will not be sent to the billing address should this be different to the shipping address. If goods are required to be sent under plain cover and the invoice sent directly to the billing address, please state this clearly in the 'Special Instructions or Comments About Your Order' box located within the checkout pages. To save the environment, we use your invoice to collate your goods and do not enclose a packing list.

Returns Policy:

You have 14 days to return (at your expense) an item for a refund if you are not happy with it, after this period we may add a re-stocking charge.
The shipping charge is not refunded.

All returns must be authorised by email first admin@cableuniverse.co.uk Items returned for a refund must be sent to us insured and unopened and be in a 'new' condition. Items returned will be tested before a refund is issued (ex shipping).Cable Universe will refund the purchase price to you within 14 days of the receipt of returned goods (ex shipping) If after ordering an item you discover it is not suitable (ordered in error!) you may return for an exchange, we will charge the shipping and credit or debit any difference in value on the item/s, your initial shipping charge is not taken into account in this calculation only the product cost.Your statutory rights are not affected.

 

 

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. 

 

The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.

 

The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.

 

Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.

 

Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled.  Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill. 

 

Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.

 

Cable Universe Ltd is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.

 

For example, if a new electric kettle was purchased from us we would accept your old electric kettle and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely.

 

Customers must return their WEEE item (at their own expense) to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.

 

Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol.

 

 

Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
